MIO: Memories in Orbit features 30+ enemy types throughout The Vessel. These robotic foes and rogue machines pose various threats, each requiring different combat strategies.

Understanding enemy patterns and weaknesses is crucial for survival, especially since MIO has no healing options and is quite fragile.

Aerial Combat

Energy Management

  • • Bouncing off certain enemies restores energy
  • • Striking environmental objects fully restores energy
  • • Use this to chain movement abilities together
  • • Plan your attacks to maintain energy flow

Enemy Categories

Flying Enemies

Flying robots that attack from the air. These are excellent targets for aerial combat chains.

Strategy: Use aerial combat to chain hits and reset jumps. The 3 flying robots in the Haven area are perfect for practicing aerial combat and earning the "Aerial Skirmish" trophy.

Ground Enemies

Various robotic foes that patrol the ground. They have different attack patterns and movement speeds.

Strategy: Use Hairpin Grapple to maintain mobility and avoid attacks. Study their attack patterns before committing to offense.

Special Enemies

Unique enemies with special mechanics or requirements.

Terror of the Ledge

Found in the apartments area of the Nexus. This specific enemy requires defeating without taking damage for the "Not This Time" trophy.

Tip: You can use Pacifist Mode in Assist menu to make this easier if needed.

Pacifist Mode: If you're struggling with combat or want to focus on exploration, you can enable Pacifist Mode in the Assist menu. Regular enemies won't attack you, allowing you to enjoy the world without combat pressure.

Trophy-Related Enemies

Aerial Skirmish Trophy

Defeat 3 enemies without touching the ground. Best done with flying robots in Haven area. Use the Harvester upgrade to reset jumps when hitting enemies.

Aerial Maneuver Trophy

Hairpin (grapple) an enemy 3 times in a row without touching the ground. This is automatically earned during the Sawlong chase sequence.

Not This Time Trophy

Defeat Terror of the Ledge without taking damage. Found in Nexus apartments area. Use Pacifist Mode if needed.
